OPAP-Led Group Wins Greek Lottery Bidding; Lottomatica Pulls Out

An OPAP-led group was provisionally declared the successful bidder for Hellenic Lotteries with an improved offer, but Italy’s Lottomatica has withdrawn from the consortium. 

The group, which includes Greece’s OPAP and Intralot, and US-based Scientific Games, offered €190m (£153.5m) to win the agreement on Wednesday, but Lottomatica withdrew because the bid price topped its investment limits, according to Reuters.
