Leaders of 29 Oklahoma tribal nations have sent a concise letter to Governor Kevin Stitt saying the current compacts governing tribal gaming in the state will automatically renew next year.
The two-page letter dated July 23 and signed by 30 tribal leaders representing 29 tribes was released by the Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association (OIGA) and obtained Monday by GamblingCompliance.
It says the tribal officials all agree the present compacts will automatically renew on January 1, 2020, and that rates under the present compacts should not change.
