'Oklahoma Is Not Okay!' Governor Asks Court To Rule Tribal Gambling Illegal

Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt has asked a federal judge to order tribal casinos across the state to shut down most slot machines and table games, a request that was opposed Thursday by an attorney representing the Chickasaw Nation.

“Governor Stitt’s pleading filed [Wednesday] in federal court added nothing to his public statements of the past several months,” Stephen Greetham, senior counsel for the Chickasaw Nation, said in a statement emailed Thursday to GamblingCompliance.
