October Snowstorm Compounds Atlantic City Malaise

Atlantic City gaming revenues sank 7.9 percent year-on-year to $261.7m in October, as an unseasonable snowstorm during the last weekend of the month served to drag down play in the struggling casino market.

Impacted by the Halloween weekend storm, market-wide table revenues declined 16.7 percent for the month to $70.5m on a 10.4 percent fall in table drop and a 110 basis point fall in average table hold percentage.
