No Pain In Maine For Smaller Fantasy Sports Operators

Maine has officially joined 14 other states in regulating daily fantasy sports (DFS), but unlike other states that have legalized the popular skill-based games this law includes benefits for smaller companies wanting to offer their games, according to an industry lobbyist.
“The Maine bill in particular is a good one for the industry, it has exemptions for smaller companies,” Peter Schoenke, chairman of the Fantasy Sports Trade Association (FSTA), told GamblingCompliance.
The new legislation has no licensing fee or taxes for companies that have revenue below $100,000.
