New York Regulators Demand Proof Of Segregated Fund From DFS Companies

The bankruptcy filing seven days ago by Fantasy Aces has led to increased scrutiny by the New York State Gaming Commission, which is asking every licensed daily fantasy sports (DFS) operator in the Empire State to prove that they segregate player funds from operating capital.

New York gaming regulators revoked Fantasy Aces’ temporary permit shortly after the company announced it had filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection in southern California, a move which has raised questions about the security of player funds.
