Fantasy sports in New York are once again being regulated by the state’s gaming commission, pending the result of an appeal of a court ruling that determined daily fantasy sports (DFS) to be illegal.
Ron Ochrym, acting executive director of the New York State Gaming Commission (NYSGC), confirmed on Monday that the commission was back in the business of regulating fantasy sports.
“With the notice of appeal, the commission returned to regulating the industry,” Ochrym said.
