Major League Baseball opens a new season this week with a new deal with the daily fantasy sports website, DraftKings.
Major League Baseball (MLB) last week announced an extension of its exclusive partnership with DraftKings and reportedly has exercised options to invest in the daily fantasy sports company.
“We’re comfortable that the games on DraftKings are on the right side of the legality line,” MLB commissioner Rob Manfred told the Washington Post. “We see it as a continued growth of the fantasy activity.”
Manfred is not only supportive of fantasy sports but open to the federal regulation of sports betting.
