New Jersey Panel Passes Fantasy Sports, Admonishes Trump

A New Jersey Assembly committee on Monday unanimously passed a bill that would regulate daily fantasy sports (DFS) and unanimously backed a resolution urging President Donald Trump to keep online gambling legal in the state. 

The New Jersey Assembly Tourism, Gaming and the Arts Committee voted 7-0 on both measures, which were proposed by Democratic Assemblyman Vince Mazzeo.

The fantasy sports bill would require DFS operators to pay a 10.5 percent gross revenue fee — on revenues, not entry fees — every three months to the state of New Jersey.
