New Jersey Online Gaming Growing Amid Strong Oversight, Say Senators

New Jersey’s congressional delegation has asked the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to avoid taking action that would threaten the state’s online casinos, a market which grew 25 percent this year and is set to see further revenue gains in 2018.

New Jersey’s two U.S. senators were joined by eight House members in writing to deputy U.S. attorney general Rod Rosenstein last Thursday and urging him not to rescind the 2011 federal legal opinion that cleared the way for states to regulate online casino, poker and lottery games within their borders.
