New Jersey Legislature Approves Online Gaming Bill

New Jersey remains on course to become the first US state in a decade to pass legislation regulating online casino gaming after a bill was granted final approval by the state’s Assembly and Senate late yesterday evening.

Bill S.490 will now head to the desk of Governor Chris Christie for his endorsement after its passage in the New Jersey Assembly and Senate by huge majorities last night.

The bill would authorize New Jersey’s Casino Control Commission to draw up regulations that would allow Atlantic City’s existing 11 casinos to accept online bets on casino games like blackjack and roulette, as well as poker, from inside New Jersey’s borders.
