New Jersey Internet Bill ‘90 Percent’ Ready, Sponsor Says

A heavily-amended Internet gambling bill in the New Jersey Assembly cleared a key committee vote Thursday, prompting its sponsor to declare that the measure is nearly ready for final approval.

“I would suggest to you that the bill is in the 90 percent ready state,” Assemblyman John Burzichelli, Democrat of Gloucester, told the Assembly Committee on Regulatory Oversight and Gaming, which approved his bill, A2578, in a 3-1 vote.
