New Hampshire Internet Gambling Bid On Ice For Now

A New Hampshire bill that would decriminalize internet gambling but not regulate it has been shelved for the year, but the measure may be taken up again in 2018, according to a local lawmaker whose committee has jurisdiction over the legislation.

House Bill 562, which would exempt “gambling done over an internet connection on a website on the internet” from New Hampshire’s list of statutory gambling offenses, was introduced last month by Republican Representative Eric Schleien.

Schleien did not return phone calls and emails seeking comment on the bill.
