New Hampshire Closer To Regulating, Taxing Fantasy Sports

New Hampshire would be closer to joining 11 other states that have legalized fantasy sports if the Senate on Thursday passes a bill which taxes and regulates the industry, as well as implements a number of consumer protections.

However, a potential road block to legalizing fantasy sports is Republican Governor Chris Sununu, who has concerns about the legislation, which his office declined to explain further to GamblingCompliance.

“The governor has serious concerns with House Bill 580 and is closely monitoring the bill as it moves through the legislative process,” Jayne Millerick, the governor’s chief of staff, said Wednesday in an email.
