Nevada Nixes Tout, Ticket Broker Regulations From Gaming Bills

Three days into the 2019 Nevada legislative session, a gaming reform bill has been amended to eliminate a proposal requiring sports-betting tipsters, or touts, to register with regulators.

Sandra Douglas Morgan, chairwoman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB), told the Senate Judiciary Committee Wednesday that after consulting both “internally and with the industry … we would like more time to look into this issue.”

“We have some enforcement actions pending,” Morgan told the committee. She declined to discuss any pending actions against tout services.
