Nevada Gaming Regulators Approve Rules To Strengthen Employee Protections

The Nevada Gaming Commission (NGC) on Thursday unanimously approved amendments to state gaming regulations aimed at providing industry employees with additional protections against workplace harassment and discrimination.

The amendments to Regulation 5 add new language on the operation of gaming licensees and puts in place policies that are parallel to the federal equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Nevada Equal Rights Commission.

Enforcement of the regulation takes effect immediately.
