Nebraska Governor Urges Attorney General To Ban Internet Gambling

Republican Governor Pete Ricketts of Nebraska sent a letter last week to U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions expressing his disagreement with the National Governors' Association (NGA) and encouraging Sessions to go ahead and outlaw internet gambling.

“It is my sincere hope that you will restore the original interpretation of the [1961] Wire Act to prohibit all forms of internet gambling,” said Ricketts, who began his political career in 2004 as an anti-gambling activist
