The starting gun has been fired on the race to choose the next operator of the UK National Lottery, the Gambling Commission announced today.
The contest to select the steward of the world’s fifth largest lottery officially began on Friday, after more than a year of preamble.
The winner will be handed a beefed-up ten-year concession starting in Summer 2023, with a winner to be announced in September next year.
