US casino operator Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment has been confirmed as the preferred bidder and contractor to build an integrated resort casino at the former Athens airport site, Greece's gaming watchdog said on Tuesday.
The Uncasville, Connecticut-based group said it would pay €150m to cover the cost of its 30-year operating licence for the project it has dubbed "Inspire Athens".
