A Missouri House Committee report calls the potential legalization of sports betting “a legitimate opportunity to increase state revenues” and says it “may be desirable” for the state to regulate so-called grey machines.
The House Special Interim Committee on Gaming released its findings after holding five informational hearings in a four-month span from August to November.
The seven-member bipartisan committee was tasked with studying the current state of gaming in the state and investigating the feasibility of adding legalized sports betting to the state’s gaming portfolio.
