With Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant signing the first fantasy sports bill of 2017 into law, fantasy sports advocates are optimistic that they will see some level of success in the 23 other states were legislation has been introduced.
House Bill 967 replaces the one-year regulatory regime put in place in May that required fantasy sports operators to simply register with the Mississippi Gaming Commission by creating a licensing structure and establishing consumer protection measures.
