A new draft of sports-betting legislation in Michigan removes what may have been one of the biggest hurdles to passage in 2019: a tie to a separate bill for internet gaming.
An updated draft circulated to stakeholders last week that was obtained by GamblingCompliance proposes to remove a provision that would tie bar House Bill 4926 to an online gaming bill that has met stiff resistance from Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
