Michigan Legislature Approves Internet Gambling, With Sports-Betting Bonus

Populous Michigan is poised to become the fourth U.S. state to regulate internet casino gaming after a bill, also including provisions for online sports betting, was approved by the state legislature in Lansing late on Thursday night.

The Michigan Senate voted 33-5 deep into the very last evening of the state’s 2017-18 legislative session to pass an amended version of House Bill 4926, which was previously approved by the state’s House of Representatives back in June. 

The House later concurred with the Senate version, voting 71-35 to the send the bill to outgoing Governor Rick Snyder to sign into law.
