The sponsor of a Michigan internet gambling bill is attempting to build a critical mass of support for the measure ahead of a potential House floor vote on it in the coming weeks, GamblingCompliance has learned.
There were rumblings this week that Republican Representative Brandt Iden was positioning his internet gambling bill, House Bill 4926, for a move. The measure was approved last fall by the House Regulatory Reform Committee that Iden chairs but has not been taken up since.
When reached by phone Thursday evening, Iden said: “We did start the process of educating members in the full House this week, and I think it went well.”
