MGM Files New Lawsuit Against Tribes' Commercial Casino In Connecticut

MGM Resorts International filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) on Wednesday in a new attempt to block two Connecticut tribes from co-developing a casino in East Windsor or from pursuing the rights to another casino in Bridgeport.

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., is a change in tactics by the casino giant, which previously accused Connecticut of constitutional violations in granting exclusive rights to the Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan tribes for a commercial casino project.
