The prospects for legalizing online gambling in Massachusetts are looking brighter following a cautious endorsement by the state’s top gaming regulator.
Massachusetts could become a significant hub for online wagering provided the proper regulations and protections are put into place to protect players and the public, said Stephen Crosby, chairman of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
Crosby recently laid out a series of parameters he believes are needed for any new system of online gambling to flourish in the state, from barring underage players to protecting gamblers and their money from hackers.
