Louisiana riverboat casinos can now apply to move ashore within 1,200 feet of their current location, but do not expect them to make the long-awaited transition to land until next year, as the state’s top gaming regulator says rules governing the move are still being completed.
“My goal is to have everything in place by the end of the year,” said Ronnie Jones, chairman of the Louisiana Gaming Control Board (LGCB).
