Lottoland Promises Lobbying, Legal Battles Over Australian Ban Threats

Disruptive online lottery betting company Lottoland is stepping up lobbying and legal preparations in defence of its Australian operations after the state governments of Victoria, Western Australia and South Australia said they would ban or curtail its products.

Gibraltar-based Lottoland’s Australian subsidiary is facing legislative heat on multiple fronts after the Labor governments of Victoria — the nation’s second most populous state — South Australia and Western Australia aligned with lottery monopolies Tatts Group and Lotterywest to move to ban the company.
