Lithuanian Advertising Restrictions Expanded

Lithuania has added even tougher limits to its already harsh advertising rules, as the country’s gross gaming revenue (GGR) dramatically increased in 2019.
On November 1, 2019, Lithuania’s long-expected amendments to its advertising restrictions came into force.
Since 2001, the advertising of gambling has been prohibited in Lithuania, except for the names and addresses of casinos, bingo halls, slot machines and information on the types of gambling available.
In 2015, ad restrictions were expanded to cover betting websites and to allow for the number of gaming machines and tables in casinos to be publicised.
