Las Vegas Sands Settles Federal Money Laundering Probe, Paying $47m

The world’s most valuable casino company has agreed to pay almost $50m to avoid prosecution over its failure to report suspicious transactions involving an alleged Mexican drug trafficker, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles said Tuesday.
