KSA Orders Shutdown Of Dutch-Facing Catena Affiliate Sites

The Dutch Gaming Authority (KSA) has ordered affiliate company Catena Operations to cease all advertising for gambling operations unlicensed in the Netherlands, or face fines of up to €21,000.

In a decision published on Wednesday but dating back to July 26, 2017, the KSA states that Catena infringed the prohibition on facilitating unlicensed gambling by promoting online gambling operators such as Co Gaming Limited’s ComeOn brand on its Dutch-language websites netentcasino.nl, gokoverzicht.com and spellenoverzicht.com.

The KSA ruled that “Catena Operations Limited placed advertisements for Co Gaming Limited, among others, and has and still does [run advertisements] for other online gambling offers, for which no licence on the basis of the [Gaming Act] has been granted”.
