Korean Esports Match-Fixers Face Criminal Charges

Two leading figures in the South Korean esports scene are facing criminal charges for their alleged part in a match-fixing scandal.

Jin Seok-hoon and Baek Min-jeh, respectively the former player-coach and manager of the Luminous Solar team, were arrested but not detained in South Korea over the weekend.

The charges relate to an Overwatch event that took place in February of this year. Overwatch is a team-based first person shooter game developed by Blizzard Entertainment that has become extraordinarily popular in South Korea.
