Kindred Group's chief executive has called for suppliers to be licensed in Sweden, a move which he said would help the country's regulator curb illegal online gambling.
The remarks by Henrik Tjärnström came as the company reported a profit decline based on weak performances in the Netherlands and Sweden.
"The trend is more worrying than the absolute numbers," he told analysts on Friday, as part of a claim that Swedish operator woes included competition from unlicensed outfits who flout rules on one-time bonusing.
"B2B licensing would give the regulator better tools to cull the unlicensed operators from the market. They will always be one click away."
