Kambi Group’s chief executive says its focus is “still definitely on Europe” and sees prospects in the fast-growing daily fantasy sports market and US sports betting as less pressing.
The Malta-based sports-betting supplier announced a deal with Mexican media company Televisa last week, but still sees Europe as its most promising market, and Italy in particular.
“Italy is really interesting. We have the Italian offering for Unibet and are now looking to extend this to other customers,” Kristian Nylén recently told GamblingCompliance.
Among Kambi’s other clients, online operators 888 and Paf have also signalled that they would like to launch sports betting in Italy.
