The Pennsylvania Senate is unlikely to act this year on a bill to legalize internet gambling and restore a tax on slot machine revenue that casinos pay to their host communities, according to top Senate Republicans.
On October 26, the Senate approved an initial draft of that bill, which contained provisions to fix the recently-voided slot tax only. The following day, the House passed an amended version of the measure that included the tax-fix provisions and language authorizing, among others, internet gambling.
