Industry Troubled By Escalating Gambling Commission Penalties

The increasing size and regularity of penalties handed out by the UK Gambling Commission has triggered alarm and concern among British-facing operators, with little sign of the enforcement wave abating.

Two Malta-based online operators were fined a total of £14m last week, with a third losing its licence, and several more online firms under investigation are expected to receive heavy sanctions in the coming weeks.
