Indiana 'Integrity Fee' Proponent Drops It From 2019 Bill

The very first state lawmaker to propose an "integrity fee" for U.S. sports leagues in legislation earlier this year now says a royalty will not be in the new version of the bill that he plans to introduce in Indiana in January.

Republican state Representative Alan Morrison told GamblingCompliance that “absolutely this version does not include an integrity fee.”

In a bill introduced in January, which failed to get a hearing before the lawmakers adjourned on March 14, Morrison proposed a 1 percent fee on sports wagering handle to the leagues.
