Indian fintech giant Paytm has seen two of its apps pulled from the Google Play Store for allegedly violating the US firm’s policy on gambling.
Paytm and Paytm First Games were removed from India’s Google Play Store on Friday, prompting Google’s Suzanne Frey to issue a rare explanation of the company’s position on gambling apps.
“We don’t allow online casinos or support any unregulated gambling apps that facilitate sports betting," said the vice president, product, android security and privacy.
