International Game Technology (IGT) executives continue to weigh the pros and cons of bidding for the so-called “Lotex” instant lotteries concession in Brazil, with a deadline to submit a proposal now less than two weeks away.
Speaking Thursday on an earnings conference call, CEO Marco Sala described Brazil as a “compelling opportunity” that IGT is “assessing seriously within the parameters we use to evaluate any business.”
Still, “there is a lot to consider when investing in a greenfield opportunity like this, especially when there is a significant upfront payment,” Sala said.
