ElectraWorks Limited, the licence-holding entity that operates GVC’s Bwin brand in the Netherlands, has been fined €350,000 by the Netherlands Gambling Authority (KSA).
According to an announcement by the KSA this morning, GVC’s bwin.com was, for a period of time, directly targeting Dutch customers and in the process violating criteria that have seen a raft of other operators also punished for breaching the Netherlands’ gambling law.
The regulator said that sports betting, live casino games and poker were all accessible by Dutch customers in a fashion that warranted a regulatory sanction.
