Greek Watchdog Rejects RGA Call to Halt Blacklist Enforcement

The Hellenic Gaming Commission has pushed back against requests to drop enforcement of Greece’s blacklist plans, rejecting arguments from the Remote Gambling Association (RGA) that the rules were "protectionist measures" that will not meet European Union standards. 

Executive president Eugenios Giannakopoulos said by threatening fines and criminal penalties to unlicensed companies still operating on December 5, the commission was simply setting out the details and penalties to enforce Greek law, not making new law.
