A lucrative casino project that has become a priority for the Greek government is foundering amid worsening disputes between the two bidders and the tender committee.
The tender for an integrated casino resort project at Athens’s former Hellenikon airport has run into more obstacles this week, even while the competition’s evaluation committee struggles to submit its decision on the legality of the two candidates to the president of the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC).
The two final bidders for Greece’s landmark Hellenikon intergrated resort (IR) casino were announced in early October after an extended process.
