In Greece, Online Licensing On Ice As Election Looms

Late summer hopes that the uneasy period of transitional online licensing in Greece may soon come to an end are being chipped away.

Greece’s online market has grown strongly under the temporary licensing regime introduced seven years ago, but the arrangement has been blasted by the European Commission, and the country’s operators, dubbed the 24, have faced ongoing uncertainly from back-tax demands.
