Graham Unsure Of Hearing As Republicans Mull Internet Gambling Study

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina said this week he doesn’t know when he will request a hearing on his bill to ban Internet gambling.

“I’ve got to talk to Senator Grassley about that. That’s a good question. I don’t know yet,” Graham told GamblingCompliance on Wednesday following a hearing on cyber crime by the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism.

Graham is the subcommittee chairman and Charles Grassley, a Republican from Iowa, chairs the full Senate Judiciary Committee.

On June 24, Graham introduced legislation to amend 1961’s federal Wire Act to ban all Internet gambling.
