Government Pressure Blocks G2E Asia Online Products, Conference Content

Asia’s leading gaming expo, G2E Asia, opened in Macau on Tuesday with a record floor plan, solid attendance and hundreds of exhibitors, but restrictions on unhappy online operators and associated conference content may prove problematic for organisers Reed Exhibitions and the American Gaming Association.

Reed Exhibitions Greater China and Korea president Hu Wei on Tuesday announced that the trade show took up a record 37,000 square metres of floor space for 2018 — a 30 percent expansion, filling out almost the entire Venetian Macao MICE pavilion — populated by at least 220 operators.

The G2E Asia floor bustled with visitors and operators over the first two days, with a good proportion of major exhibitors seemingly occupying larger areas of the floor.
