Government Crackdown Holds No Fear For Czech Operators

Political uncertainty and questions of European law mean that online gambling operators in the Czech Republic are confident that the Government’s latest plan to clamp down on internet gambling will fail to get off the ground.

In September 2007, the Czech Government once again stepped up its efforts to outlaw online gambling across the country. One of Europe’s most pro-active anti-online gambling governments, the Czech Republic’s Finance Ministry, has drafted a bill designed to block IP addresses and prohibit internet gambling advertisements and banking transactions to and from internet gambling companies.
