Georgian Public Broadcaster To Ban Gambling Ads, Citing Public Concern

Georgia’s national public broadcaster will not accept any gambling adverts from the start of next year as it believes that there are clear growing public concerns surrounding the societal impact of gambling.

Georgian Public Broadcasting (GBP) will no longer allow gambling adverts on its Georgian First Channel from January 1, 2020, when its existing advertising agreements end.

An estimated 85 percent of Georgians receive the First Channel.
