Gaming Industry Split On Whether To Stump For Trump In 2020

With less than 16 months to go before voters go to the polls to decide if President Trump is re-elected, the gaming industry appears to be split on whether the former casino owner deserves a second term.

One of the more telling episodes of the industry’s ambivalence about Trump occurred at a political fundraiser on May 6 in Las Vegas.

Greg Brower, a former Republican state senator in Nevada who served in the Trump administration until last year, helped organize the fundraiser with MGM Resorts International CEO Jim Murren, also a self-described Republican.
