Gambling Industry Pay Gap Data Sets Starting Point For Diversity Drive

Although the UK’s largest gambling companies are in many cases performing better than the national average on their gender pay gaps, several leading industry figures say there is much more to do to foster diversity and equality from board-level down.

From April of this year, companies and public bodies with more than 250 employees have been mandated by law to release data on the difference in pay between men and women in their businesses.

GamblingCompliance analysis of reports from five of the largest operators in the UK gambling market, and their regulator the Gambling Commission, showed that all fared better than the average 17.4 percent wage gap, but revealed a large difference in wealth distribution at the highest levels.
