Gambling Eclipsed All Over Europe As Coronavirus Infections Surge

Casinos, betting shops and other gambling venues are once again being shut or having their hours restricted all over Europe, as coronavirus infections rise.

In many cases, the restrictions are across the board, and not targeted at retail gambling outlets.

France has placed night-time curfews on two-thirds of the country, or about 46m people, after COVID-19 infections hit a one-day record last week.

Curfews now go from 9pm to 6am in most of the country.

In Belgium, gaming rooms, casinos and betting shops are closed in the Brussels region, by ministerial decree.
